My Healing Path

I wish I could have been posting blogs these past 6 weeks or so, but I've been VERY busy focusing on healing my digestive system.  Amazingly, I can eat again without getting brain fog - yet I'm still on a VERY specific diet.

Currently I'm eating meats, veggies (raw and steamed), fruits, nuts, and seeds.  Basic foods without any condiments other than salt, pepper, lemon, ginger, garlic, olive oil, homemade clarified butter, sauerkraut, tomato paste (when making spaghetti or chili), honey and fresh or dried herbs.  At one time I was eating homemade yogurt, but I backed off for a while when I recognized that my digestive system just didn't seem right.  But, yesterday while I was out with the kids and needed something to eat so I had a yogurt by FAGE which was simply plain yogurt with a tablespoon or so of honey on the side.

I make sure that I eat fruit mostly during the morning and that I ALWAYS leave 30 minutes before and after fruit when eating any other types of foods.

June 2012 Update - I had tried introducing sweet potatoes again, but it didn't work out.  So as of May 2012, they are out of my diet again as I follow the Specific Carbohydrate Diet.  I found a good source of eggs which come from hens that roam 11 acres and are not supplemented with any grains.  Boy are they yummy!
